School Spirit
Go Bulldogs! We bought this for little E when I was still pregnant on a visit back to my Alma Mater:

Go Vols! Miss Tami gave this to Elliott at one of his showers. Dad is trying to have a good attitude about it!

Go Eagles! This came in the mail this week from the Alumni Association:

Mimi, I think we need some Belmont gear to round out our collection!

Pulling Our Hair Out
Literally. We are pulling our hair out.
I've reached the post-pregnancy stage of pulling clumps of hair out daily and Elliott is starting to rub his hair off in the back. Lovely.
And to add insult to injury, he's helping the process along. His new favorite right-hand position is to reach up and latch on to a handful of hair. I don't think he'll ever be bald :) but he's certainly trying to help that process along!

Sidenote: We bought this shirt for Elliott when we were about 5 weeks pregnant ... almost a year ago! And now it fits!

Rolling both ways!
I'm not sure if we should be excited about this or not, but Elliott seems quite advanced in his rolling skills!
He rolled "the easy way" (aka front to back) the first week that he was here (I think the average is 2-3 months!). Then, this afternoon, he rolled "the hard way" aka back to front (the average is 5-6 months).
This is how he ended up in his crib ... not exactly the ideal sleeping position for infants:

We are going to have to keep an eye on him!
But, to end on a happy note, here's the smile of the day from yesterday!

2 Month Check Up
This morning Elliott had his 2-month check-up (a little late!). Everything checked out great!

After a quick pee all over the doctor's scale and wall :), we determined that he is:
12 lbs, 11 oz. (65th percentile)
24.5 inches (85th percentile)
16 inch head circumference (50th percentile)
He also had his first round of vaccinations :( I'm super proud that he did really great, but maybe prouder of myself for not crying! So far he seems to be coping well and has even given us a smile or two! Sweet boy!
