Little Stander

Winston has been free-standing for a few days but we are amazed how quickly he is getting the hang of it and trying to do it! Today he stood for almost 30 seconds!

Yay!

Winston had a big day yesterday. He got his second tooth (finally after weeks of crying and drooling!) and learned how to clap. He loves his new trick and has been clapping endlessly since he started!

"Rest" Time

I was planning to post this video today and say how much we are losing our minds with Elliott being in a destroying phase (it is a phase, right?) of having to touch (read: break) everything in sight. This is what happened during Elliott's "rest" time yesterday. But with the news of the morning, I'll just say that he can disassemble as many beds as he'd like!!

Little Cruiser

Winston is officially cruising (see below) and has been free-standing for a few seconds at a time!  Here we go!

Back to the beach

Last week I had a photo shoot at the beach and the boys decided to tag along just for something to get them out of the house.  Gotta admit, it felt good to be back to shooting with sand between my toes.  It was cold and we didn't stay long, but Elliott loved running around.  And by running around, I mean, mostly barrel rolling fully-clothed through the sand.

Isn't he looking so old!?!

Winston: 8 months

Winston is 8 months!  We are settling into our new house in LA (which we looove!) and they boys have done great with the transition.  After some work and sleep training, Winston is finally getting close to sleeping through the night.  He is doing great with his allergen-free diet and is so much healthier and happier without eggs and milk in his system!  Hooray!  He also got his first tooth a few days ago with a second one coming any minute.  He is still crawling and pulling up everywhere.  He can also transfer between objects and take a few steps when he is pushing a moving object.  We are calling his hair "strawberry blonde" but I have been stopped several times for people to ask me about his red hair, and have had a few comments like "Look at that little red-head!" and "Hey, ginger!" (are people even allowed to say that anymore? I wasn't sure if I should be offended).  It still changes in the light but is some sort of blonde/red mix!

Carsland!

We have SO enjoyed being able to get Disney annual passes the past couple of years and were really excited to have a couple of weeks left on our passes when we got back home to CA. ESPECIALLY since the California Adventure updates were finished over the summer and we hadn't seem them yet including the most exciting part: Carsland!!  Elliott loooooves the movie Cars ... he has seen it dozens of times and they did a great job making Radiator Springs come to life!  We snuck in 2 visits before our passes expired, so here is a slew of photos from both visits:

Flo's V8 cafe:

The Radiator Springs Racers are a little too big and fast for us, but still fun to watch!

Meeting Red:
Our favorite part ~ the Cozy Cone Motel!  Each cone is like a little food stand with different snacks ~ churro bites, flavored popcorn, ice cream, chili "cone" queso, etc!

Elliott's FAVORITE part of the movie ~ the tractors!  If only the combine came, I think his life would feel complete!

The Christmas decor is so fun ~ our attempt at family photos with the hubcap tree:

On the main road of Radiator Springs:

And someone got his first tooth this week ... can you tell he is teething!?!

Elliott also saw Monsters Inc for the first time over the summer so he loves that ride now too (and so does Adam!):

Trio

These guys ... back in action.  2/3 of this "show" weren't super willing, but the show must go on!!

And, a little glimpse of our new place and all the unpacking we still have to do!

First new house shoot

I loooove the aesthetics in our new house ... dark floors, white textured walls, and lots of great natural light.  Mmmmm ... yummy!  I knew it was only a matter of time until the impromptu photo shoots began.  Today was the first ... Winston looked so handsome as I was changing his diaper that I had to snap a few.  Love this baby!!

He also took a few steps today while pushing a basket across the floor!

Winston: 7 Months

Whew ~ what a month!  After weeks and weeks of struggling with eczema, Winston crying lots, hives, etc., we decided to have some allergy testing done and found out he is allergic to eggs, milk, and dustmites.  It has been a tough few weeks but we are happy to have some answers and be moving forward!  We can definitely tell a difference in the short few weeks that Winston and I have altered our diet.  Looking forward to happier, healthier days ahead!

Winston is crawling and pulling up wherever he'd like, and starting to get into trouble with stairs, outlets, etc.  He just started changing his coo's to babbles which is fun, and has started to wave "bye-bye".  He also plays games like trying to give you his paci then grabbing it back which is so much fun, and is eating 2 baby food meals a day.

I haven't even had time to talk about this but today we are officially moving to Los Angeles from Orange County.  It's going to be a big transition for us.  We have been in Nashville for 3 months, and Adam has been in LA the past week choosing an apartment for us and moving our stuff in.  Me and the boys fly in tonight to a new house that we've never even seen!  Hoping to post more about this soon, but hoping for a smooth transition for us all.
