One of the up-and-coming skills I've read about is the ability to repeat syllables. We've tried plenty of times with the "ba-ba's" and "da-da's" without any response from Elliott other than him laughing at how funny we look!
Well, this afternoon, I think somebody flipped the switch! We were playing on the bed (sorry for the wet hair/PJ look) and he was chatting and started forming some syllables I haven't heard from him before. So I tried some sounds and he totally repeated them! I actually had tried this morning with no response ... funny how things just suddenly turn on!
Do you hear them too or is it just parental wishful thinking?
